Spanish 2 (Live)
Course Overview:
This Spanish 2 live online course continues the introduction of the language to students, with the main goals of describing their routines, activities, likes and dislikes, and writing short paragraphs about their lives and their habits. Students will learn through simple videos, songs, and other authentic materials such as signs, labels, and short poems. The instructors will foster and support students’ growing ability to
identify practices, products, and perspectives of Spanish-speaking countries, and to start comparing habits and traditions.
The main grammatical focus of the course is the use of reflexive verbs, verbs like gustar, superlatives, and comparatives of equality and inequality. The central themes of the course are daily life, meals, celebrations, home, lifestyle and technology. The student learning outcomes of this level are to be able to talk about daily routines; describe meals and food; compare celebrations; describe future actions; talk about health, home, and technology; and ask for, follow, and give instructions.
