Course Overview:

This French 3 live online course is designed to help students talk about stories that happened in the past, discuss citizen’s rights and obligations, and give their opinion on various daily topics. Students will learn through videos, songs, articles, infographics, and other authentic materials and will acquire knowledge of France and the Francophone world while developing their communicative skills throughout the course. The central themes of the course are routine, past experiences, French history, French authors’ works, and people’s opinions. 

The main grammatical focuses of the course are past tenses (passé composé, imparfait, plus-que-parfait, and passé simple), subjunctive, conditional, relative pronouns, time markers, and adverbs. Upon completion of this course, students should be able to describe past events with details; read, understand, and analyze tales; learn about French history; write a biography; and express personal obligations and opinions on various daily and researched topics.
