AP® European History
Course Overview:
This online AP® European History course introduces students to the political, economic, religious, social, intellectual, and artistic trends that shaped Europe from 1450 to the present. Students should acquire knowledge of the basic chronology of events and movements from this period as well as develop the ability to analyze historical documents and express historical understanding in writing.
Six main themes guide the course: Interaction of Europe and the World, Poverty and Prosperity, Objective Knowledge and Subjective Visions, States and other Institutions of Power, Individual and Society, and National and European Identities.
As part of the Advanced Placement program, the course prepares students for the AP® European History exam.
