Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory Proudly Partners with Holston Academy to Provide Online Education for their Dancers

Student dancers benefit from a college-preparatory online education that is both flexible and challenging. Nutmeg Ballet Conservatory has partnered with Holston Academy to offer their players in grades 6-12 access to an accredited, flexible online private school.
Our Approach
At Holston Academy, we recognize student-dancers need flexibility to train and travel without compromising the quality of their academic experience. We take a personalized approach to learning, which means meeting each student where they are, recognizing their unique strengths, opportunities, and learning preferences. This involves tailoring educational experiences to align with each student’s individual pace of progress, encouraging students to develop mentor-mentee relationships with their Academic Coach and teachers, and empowering students to take ownership of their education, fostering a more engaging and effective learning process.

Our Curriculum
Students can choose from more than 300 online courses in our course catalog including middle school, college prep, honors, Advanced Placement® (AP), and Dual Enrollment. Academic Coaches help students select the best courses for their abilities and future goals when developing their Personalized Learning Plan, while also taking into account their commitments outside of school.

Tuition and Enrollment
Holston Academy believes in a student-centered approach to education that provides each student with the support, flexibility, and tools needed to be successful in their education. Students can choose to enroll in one or two courses during the school year or summer months, or full-time to take advantage of additional offerings such as Academic Coach support and college counseling.

Our son has been dancing for seven years, and with Holston Academy he’s been able to study at home and on his own time. He gets to take the brain breaks he needs by getting up and dancing a little and then going back to his schoolwork. He also has more time to train and more flexibility when a competition is coming up.
