Online School for Part-Time Students
At Holston Academy, students have the flexibility to learn on their schedule through part-time enrollment and individual course options.
Flexible Learning on Any Schedule
Holston Academy understands the challenges of achieving a school-life balance, and we make online courses accessible for anyone in grades 6-12 through our part-time online middle and high school. Our flexible, student-centered approach meets every child where they are in life and allows them to pursue academic excellence at their own pace. Whatever is going on outside the classroom, rest assured, your child will have teachers and Academic Coaches ready to support them on their path to learning.
Pursue Passions and Prepare for College
We offer more than 300 online courses for our students to take based on educational requirements, career preparation, or personal interest. Many of these classes are not available in brick-and-mortar schools, but since Holston Academy hosts students around the world, any student can expand their opportunities and:
- Supplement their academic program: Holston Academy students can take as few as one class at a time, making it an excellent option for currently enrolled students who want more from their education. Students can pursue advanced math and science courses to prepare for a STEM career or explore interests like art and music that may not be available in their district.
- Work at their own pace: For students balancing a traditional school schedule, Holston Academy offers the flexibility to take one or two online courses alongside their brick-and-mortar classes. Students can complete coursework on a schedule that works for them — whether that means studying after school, while traveling, or during breaks in their day. With support from dedicated teachers through regular check-ins and personalized guidance, students can stay on track while fitting online learning into their busy lives.
- Prepare for the future: Our courses include Advanced Placement®, Honors-level classes, and college prep courses so students can work beyond their grade level in subjects where they excel. They will also have their own Academic Coach who will help them discover their passions and turn them into potential career opportunities through internships and college credits.
Receive Accredited Transcripts
Our online school is accredited, assuring families that their child’s online education is both recognized and respected by leading institutions. We partner with leading educational entities like LanguageBird and College Board to expand our offerings. We also facilitate dual enrollment with colleges and universities so students can get a head start in their post-secondary education.
Once a student completes their course, we provide them with an accredited transcript that will transfer to their school of record.
