Dr. Christina Seamster Named as Head of Schools for Holston and Palm Beach International Academies

Dr. Seamster brings 20+ Years of Experience and Innovation to Personalized Education Community

Boca Raton, Fla. — (October 22, 2024) – Dr. Christina Seamster, an educational leader in personalized learning models, has been appointed head of schools for Stanza Education Corporation’s network of schools which includes: Holston Academy, an online private school for grades 6-12, and Palm Beach International Academy (PBIA SES), a hybrid microschool with a new campus set to open in Boca Raton, Fla.

Holston Academy offers a small virtual learning community with academic coaching, mentorship, rigorous coursework and a personalized educational experience that meets the needs of each individual student by focusing on their strengths, challenges and future goals.

PBIA SES’ flexible hybrid model cultivates future-ready students within small learning communities, where each student is known, valued and supported. They have the freedom to complete their schoolwork on the innovative Boca Raton campus, or at home, while traveling or pursuing their passions.

Both schools emphasize a student-centered model of education that focuses on the unique needs of each student, while fostering a lifelong love for learning and shaping responsible global citizens.

Dr. Seamster plans to use her 20 years of experience in both brick-and-mortar education and online school–and her strong passion for personalized learning and school leadership–to bring fresh ideas and cutting-edge technology into our classrooms to better support our students’ learning journeys. She holds a bachelor’s degree in child development from Florida State University, a master’s degree in educational leadership, and a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction specializing in educational technology.

Previously, she spearheaded the successful opening of two campuses at Fusion Academy, serving as both Head of School and Area Head of School, and drove innovation as Assistant Principal at Florida Virtual School (FLVS) for nearly four years.

“We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Dr. Christina Seamster to Stanza Education. Her visionary leadership in personalized learning models and extensive experience in both online and brick-and-mortar settings align perfectly with our mission to offer personalized, student-centered education. Dr. Seamster’s commitment to innovation and her passion for empowering students will be instrumental in the continued growth and success of both Holston Academy and Palm Beach International Academy. We look forward to the fresh perspectives and expertise she will bring as we work together to create environments where every student can thrive,” said Stanza Education Corporation Executive Director, Megan O’Reilly Palevich.

Among Dr. Seamster’s priorities is a commitment to ensure that all students are valued and supported. “Together, we will actively cultivate schools and virtual learning environments that nurture student growth and empower each individual to reach their fullest potential,” she said.

She is focused on leading the growth and development of PBIA SES’ microschool campuses throughout Florida, the first of which is planned for Boca Raton this winter.
