Course Overview:

We partner with ChiWonder to offer the Chinese IV Honors online course to students. At this advanced level, students are encouraged to express themselves fluently and effortlessly. 

Chinese IV Honors continues to build on the foundation laid in previous courses, elevating students’ proficiency in Mandarin. While sharing core objectives with the standard Chinese IV curriculum, the Honors variation integrates five additional projects, designed to further immerse students in Chinese language and culture. These projects demand a keen synthesis of language skills, creativity, and cultural understanding.

Like Chinese IV, this course aligns with UC A-G standards, aiming to deepen students’ appreciation of Chinese societal narratives and current affairs. Through rigorous assessment methods, including written compositions, oral presentations, and the exclusive Honors projects, students are propelled to higher levels of Mandarin fluency and cultural insight.
