In this online Art Appreciation course, the major concepts of art history are covered, which encompass various periods and styles. Key concepts are: the Elements of Art and Principles of Design, which form the foundation of artistic expression and composition, Ancient Art explores the art of civilizations such as the Aegean, Greek, Etruscan, and Roman, showcasing their distinctive artistic achievements; Medieval Art, which encompasses the artistic traditions of the Middle Ages, reflecting the influence of religion and symbolism; the Renaissance to Rococo period, which examines the revival of classical ideals, leading to a flourishing of artistic innovation and grandeur; pre-modern Art, which encompasses various artistic movements and styles preceding the modern era; and Modern Art, which explores the radical shifts in artistic expression, embracing new forms, techniques, and ideas.
