Spanish 3 (Live)
Course Overview:
This Spanish 3 live online course is an intermediate course, with the main goals being that students can talk about familiar topics and past experiences, interact in everyday situations, and write short emails and stories. Students will learn by interacting with short movies, songs, and other authentic materials such as short stories and legends. The instructors will foster and support students’ growing ability to identify, analyze, and comment on practices, products, and perspectives of Spanish-speaking countries.
The main grammatical focus of the course is the use of both preterit and imperfect tenses to describe the past and tell stories. The central themes of the course are biographies and identities, literature and art, contemporary life, childhood, travel, and storytelling. Upon completion of this course, students should be able to talk about past experiences, describe life events and biographies, express artistic preferences, discuss city life, talk about childhood, describe vacations, compare the past and present, and tell a story.
